Abram understands first hand the transformative power of recovery. He was born into a large family in southern California and raised in Syracuse, New York. At an early age he discovered a love for music, sports, and creative writing, and pursed writing short fiction for fifteen years. Untreated alcoholism and mental health issues stood in the way of his success, and by the end of his addiction he was living in suicidal despair. Fortunately, his story did not end there.

Today Abram is a sober alcoholic in recovery. As a proud father of two children and a devoted husband, he is a productive and purposeful participant in life, after having nearly lost his own. Among his many passions discovered in sobriety are woodworking and playing 5-string banjo, and perhaps most importantly, being of service to those who struggle just as he once did.
